Free PowerPoint Templates for Scientific, Medical, Research Posters
On this page you will find free PowerPoint® research poster templates in a variety of sizes and styles. Templates are available in both .pptx and .ppt formats, for PC and Mac. These templates are available for public use under the terms of the following Creative Commons License. However, please understand that we can only offer Help Desk support to Genigraphics customers.
Please note: If you are registered for an ePoster session, a web link was sent to you by email to access poster templates specifically sized for your meeting. Contact our office if you need further assistance.
How to choose a template: Step one, determine whether your poster session has any size restrictions. Step two, determine what version of PowerPoint you will be using (we recommend using the newer .PPTX format). Step three, select from the options below and save a working copy of the template file to your computer.
If you don't see the specific dimensions you want, use a template that is the same proportion and we will correctly scale it at the time of printing. For example, if you would like to order a 36" high by 54" wide poster print, you could use a 24x36 template since both are a 2:3 proportion of height-to-width. And because PowerPoint does not allow a file to be setup with dimensions greater than 56", we regularly use scaled templates for the larger poster sizes. Our 48x96 templates are actually sized at 24x48 which we then print at 200%. Here's the formula to determine what custom sizes a paricular template will yield:
